One of my longest-running clients, Passatempo—nearly six years of ongoing brand storytelling.
Our approach has always been to capture the full rhythm of the business. We arrive early, around 8am, to photograph pasta making and prep, then follow the transition as front-of-house staff arrive and the restaurant comes to life, finishing with dinner service. It’s a long day, but Passatempo is rare in that even a busy Friday-night kitchen remains visually compelling.
Chef Sam and their team have been an incredible client to grow with, allowing space to develop more creative and effective ways of documenting every part of what they do. Working quickly with lighting in dark, uncontrolled environments has been the biggest challenge—huge thanks to Cameron Munn for being such a solid support on that front.
